Can a credit card company garnish my pension from a private employer or is that exempt like my Social Securty?

Generally private pensions may not be exempt. Without knowing more about the pension or what state you live in its hard to give more info.

I am not an attorney; however, I worked for one for a short time. I do not know if they can put a lien on your pension until you get it. However, they can garnish your wages rather it be a private employer or not.

Thank you for trying to help members here on AMHD. But since you are new here there are some things you need know.
Different forums have different standards for answers. In the legal forums, answers need to conform to statutory law. This means we need to know location to be able to cite the correct law. Your response was inaccurate in a couple of ways. First, lien is not the correct term. Garnishment would be the correct term. Second, not all areas permit garnishments, therefore to say they can garnish salary may not be correct.
Additionally, since the OP asked it would be assumed they are receiving a pension at this time.
I'm not trying to discourage you from helping, but suggest that you browse around a bit and see how we respond to questions here some more before posting.
