I have 8.6 intramural uterine fibroid... and my OB prescribed me with Lupron Depot for 3 months to shrink the fibroid... my question is, it safe to get pregnant with this size of fibroid or should I shrink it first? What are the risk if I get pregnant without shrinking the fibroid? And if ever I shrink it and got pregnant, is there any effect on the baby? Which one you recommend for me to do? I am really confused at the moment...

Ideally it is best to go into a pregnancy in the best possible health. While a fibroid usually will not cause any problems, there is a chance that it can. For example, it can increase the possibility of a miscarriage.

You also would want to be sure to prevent a pregnancy while using the Lupron.
