I am thinking about going to excelsior college for my RN but it all sounds to good to be true. It this a real college and where to find info about what my state (Arkansas) excepts.

Yes, it is a real college. Quite expensive as you have to travel to approved locations to do your clinicals, but it is approved by the National Board of Nursing.

Arkansas does accept Excelsior.
