I asked God to protect me from my enemies and then I started losing friends.

Why did you lose them? Do you mean to say you think they were your enemies ?

Indeed, maybe He DID remove your enemies... or more specifically those who are not good for you. That's just guessing at this point really, we don't have that much info from you to answer this.

What were the circumstances of your losing these friends?

Something else needs to be said here though. God will typically not REMOVE a situation from out life, such as enemies or temptations or any other troubles. He doesn't fix these things for us because He has equipped us to DEAL with these situations. As the church body, we are Christ's representation on earth until His return... and we are supposed to walk in the same boldness and authority that He walked in. If God fixed all of our problems for us, we'd be nothing more than a bunch of helpless babies, and our spiritual walk would be weak. But, through Him, we're given the wisdom, strength, discernment, compassion and boldness to face down these problems. Long and short of it is, this life is for us to walk through, and with His HELP, we can do all things.
