My Daughter is 24 years old and we have just been reunited. Ashley's mother omitted my name from the birth certificate and disappeared with my daughter and we have spent years attempting to locate one another. I am trying to do the correct thing here and we would BOTH like to have my name on her birth certificate regardless of whether it would change her last name or not. Ashley was born in 1987 in Jesup Georgia. Any advise?

... Ashley's mother omitted my name from the birth certificate ...
Were you married at the time? If not, it is doubtful that the mother could have caused your name to be placed on the BC.
