We purchased the Hampton Bay Château Deville Remote Controlled Fan... It was the last one at our Home Depot, a Display Fan... they took it down for us and gave us all the parts. No Box and no instruction manual. Got home, noticed it was not a reverse model remote. I went back to home depot and they gave me another remote that has the reverse button. Got home and pushed the button, but the fan did not reverse it's direction. Is there a setting that needs to be changed inside the fan itself?

Does the remote control everything else correctly?

The remote does the speeds correctly and the light... When I pressed the reverse button, the speed increased on the fan... When I press the reverse button, the fan speed increases, then I press it again, it slows down, then press it again, it speeds up. Hope that helps. Thanks.

That fan does not claim the remote will reverse the fan. The literature says the reverse is manual so okk for a small slide switch on the side of the housing.Hampton Bay Chateau Deville 52 In.
