My sink drain pipe (going into the floor) is underneath my dishwasher. I just found this out since I am replacing with a new one. Is it dangerous or anything? I can't afford to relocate the DW or sink drain pipe. What's a good solution? Basically the sink and cabinet are next to the DW as normal but the drain continues to through a cut-out in the in the cabinet and under the DW.

Thanks,

PB

If doesn't do you no harm, lave it as is. Its is not dangerous, unless you already have episodes of its harmful effects. Have a nice day.

You describe a "S" trap which is outlawed in new or remodel jobs but is grandfathered in for older homes. If the DW hose is looped up and discharging into a branch tail piece, (see image) coming offd the sink drain I can find no fault with your set up except when you say, " the sink and cabinet are next to the DW as normal but the drain continues to through a cut-out in the in the cabinet and under the DW."
If the DW hose is lower then the water level in the tub the water would start to drain away vas soon as the tub began to fill. Olease clarify. Regards, Tom

Your code looks OK, but the picture didn't come through.

I looked but you didn't show a trap, a workable vent, a dishwasher drain connection or any under sink connections. Sorry Plumber your drawing doesn't show me much. Tom
