Spouse signed and cashed 33,000 income check in 2006

Are you saying that your spouse signed and cashed an income tax refund check 5 years ago? Do you have a specific question about it?

Ok first 33,000 dollars is a large refund check, I will assume your income is in the upper 100's of thousand of dollars. Did you not have a CPA doing it.

But if she deposited it into your joint account, or if you were aware she got the money it does not matter,
If she cashed it, and ran off with the money, that is a different issue
