Turned television on and static shock caused the television to continue to scan channels and it won't stop?

Probably need a new main board. But just to be certain, unplug the set over night and plug it back in the next morning and try again.

Also try exiting the channel scan (assuming you mean it is actually scanning channels and not just constantly flipping through channels).

If those don't work, check if there is a firmware update on the manufacturer's website and try applying the update if you can.

Also, do you have a cable/satellite box? If so, are you sure it's the TV changing channels and not the box?
