So, I just got a free sample of Maybelline's Lots of Lashes mascara. My problem is, the only makeup I own/use is lip balm. I want to buy some basics - foundation, eye shadow, concealer, etc. - but I'm not sure which kinds, which brands, or which products are best for me. How do I figure that out? A friend once gave me a makeover with my mom's stuff and told me CoverGirl was a good brand for me, but that's all I know. Help!

I prefer CoverGirl because I like how it works with my skin but, you may be different and may want to try out different makeup brands. I would say try the make up on the backside of your hand first to see how well it matches. Also try checking out YouTube to look at basic tutorials of applying make up this lady is pretty good with applying makeup I suggest you watch a few of her videos.
