I have a retail theft charge back in 2008 which was dismissed. I just got a felony charge for organized fraud. I reprinted receipts and put them on a gift card at Walmart when I was working there.

The amount was $453. I told Walmart I would pay them back. That's all that is on my record. Should I get an attorney, or will a public defener be fine for this?

I want to get a pti class and a with hold

Public defenders are attorneys and just like attorneys you hire, there are good ones and there are bad ones.

Also what you "want" has little to do with what may or may not happen. So much will depend on things such as the judges mood that day, how they feel about this crime, and how hard the store is pushing for punishment.

You are an attorney what is most likely going to happen to me for this first offense

Your previous arrest may be used in sentencing depending on the circumstances. Sentencing is subject to a lot of local considerations that we van't predict.
