I work the night shift and every time I come home she says that the house we live in is haunted and I believe her. A little history: My Grandfather built my house in the early 1940's and come to find out he built it on land that was once a battle field for the Battle of Kinston in the Civil War. Also both my Grandfather and Grandmother died at the house. We both have heard someone walking in the house, it was so loud my dog started barking and I walked around with my gun checking every room just to show my wife no one broke in. She has heard someone sneeze, she thought it was me but I had already left for work. We have both heard something messing with our dishes and knocking on the door. The big event happened last night while I was at work, my wife was laying in bed watching TV and all of a sudden the channels started changing by it self and when my wife turned it back the TV cutoff by it self. I talked to all 4 of my aunts who lived there as children and asked them if they had any problems and everyone of them said they had experiences with shadow figures, unexplained noises, uneasy feelings while living there. My wife is freaked out and is about to move out so any ideas would help. Thanks

While this is a very common thing, especially around battlefields, these are still not human spirits. Demons love to be around areas where much bloodshed happened, or great traumas of humanity. They will sometimes replay these events or pretend to be those that were once involved. This activity likely has nothing to do with your grandparents passing away in the home. In a haunting, one usually has two options... either move out or have the spirit removed. If you want to stay in this home, then I suggest you contact a ministry that has both experience and an understanding in what is really going on in your home. I am not talking about having the home "blessed", I am talking about having a pastor or priest command it to leave... much like an exorcism.

So you think it may be a demon instead of a human spirit? I know demons feed of negative energy and most of the time things happen only when I am at work and my wife is home alone. Should I contact a paranormal research investigator to investigate my home? Last question, how do I go about asking a pastor or priest to do this for me?

No, it is not a human spirit. There are several verses of scripture that show after death, we do not stick around here on earth. We are either found to be with Christ in Heaven, or in judgement. The thing about about having a paranormal research group come is that they will mostly focus on documenting your haunting. Very few of these groups ever move into actually HELPING the person with their haunting... and the majority of these investigators are not grounded in spiritual truth. They will just as fast send you to a spiritist as they would a priest. It's up to you if you want to contact them to come in to your home... I doubt much harm would come of it... but I'm also sure no help will come of it either. I wouldn't be too timid about asking for help from the church, as removing demons is part of the Great Commission given by Christ to His church before His ascension. The denominations that are going to be more open to this type of thing are going to be the Full Gospel or Pentecostal ones. As it is a given authority to every born again believer, it is unfortunate that many are either ignorant of it or simply do not believe what their own bible teaches. It may take a couple calls around, but I don't think it'll take too long to find one.

Go to the nearest sikh temple and arrange an "Akhand Path" (Prayer) at your house... then see the results... Just try it and you will forget everything else.
