My son is named as the biological father on a birth certificate, we have since discovered through dna testing he is not the biological father, how do we have his name removed from the birth certificate?

Lpoolsue, why do you need to have his name removed from the BC? Is the mother asking for child support or what?
It depends upon the regulations governing birth certificates in whatever state or other jurisdiction where the child was born. Check your state's vital statistics official website.

In some states he may be able to do it. In others-no. It depends on his location.

It depends on where he lives and how old the child is. Laws vary on whether the legal father can challenge paternity and under what conditions.

First you as his parents can't do anything, you have no standing in this legal action.
Your son, the named father, may or may not be able to do this. He could not have been placed on the birth certificate without his knowledge so he knew it happened when it did
After that, some states allow it to be contested, other do not, so your son needs to contact a family law attorney to see what his options are
