Please tell me what kind of prism I would need to make "spectacles" to enable me to watch TV at the end of my bed without bending my neck (which is in a plaster cast).
Thank you

I believe you can buy those funny glasses to watch TV with. You may have to get the TV suspended from the ceiling if you can't find the glasses. If you have a LCD TV you could do this with a mounting device.

Thanks!
Yes, I googled “watching TV in bed” and found those glasses available on line but not at a price in my budget. Anyhow, I have a DIY ethos and would not dream of buying something I can make myself! The pictures suggest the shape of a triangular prism but I suspect they are just two little mirrors to get the image right way up and not flipped.
A pentaprism would work but these “funny glasses” wholesale in China from $2.50 and obviously don't have expensive components. http://amyglasses.en.alibaba.com/product/325283120-210405666/watching_TV_glasses.html
I do have my TV high on the wall but I think I will pass on the idea of hanging it above my head!

Or if you can somehow manage to get your bed moving up (Like the hospital beds), that'd ease your watching TV too.
A little like that: http://www.manufacturer.com/cimages/product/www.alibaba.com/0323/a/10945919_Hospital_Bed.jpg
But of course, you'll improvise on your current bed.

Find a friend that can move your TV to a position that you can see it at.
