1. 1 orange costs c cents. 5 oranges will cost 5 times as much. What does that equal to?

2. James weighs p pounds. Eric's weight is 10 less than that. So, you need to subtract 10 from p. What does it become?

3. What is the value of a dime? How many dimes make a dollar? Divide the number of dimes by the number of dimes which make a dollar.

Then, how many cents does a dime hold? Multiply the number of dimes by the number of cents one dime holds.

If you are not sure, replace the algebra by numbers and you will see if that makes sense or not.
