I am a 16 year old boy and have recently decided that I may be suffering from social anxiety disorder. To make matters worse I just asked out my best friend. She said that she wouldn't go out with me because she doesn't want things to end badly and us not to be fiends.

Because of my anxiety problem, I feel like she thinks I'm not worth her time, even though we have been BFFs for a year. I want to talk to her, but I cry to easily, but I really don't want to and don't even know what to say. What should I do!

What, did you look that disorder up on the Internet? Forget that. That's for a real doctor to say.

As to the girl, she said no go, so the reasons don't matter so drop that subject and go back to having fun with your friend, AFTER you give yourself some time to cope with your disappointment.

For now do other things like you use to and enjoy other friends and family, and activities until your emotions are under better control.

I sort of tried to ask out my best friend, and she said no, and now I feel a little awkward trying to talk to her. We said we'd forget about it, and... yeah. I want to do something to kind of "re-break the ice" but what?

The best thing you can do is just applogise than pretend it never happened the worse thing you can do it to not speak with her as that will only make things worse

This is more about how you handle rejection than anything. Just me, pretend it never happened, and do what you did before. Nothing special or formal about it. Nothing to force. Smile, say hi, and go from there.
