I feel incredibly stupid and naïve. I have been working in a Supermarket for 4 months now and on Monday evening I stole 30 euros worth of phone credit. On Tuesday I got a phone call from my manager asking me to come in on Thursday for a meeting. I asked was there something wrong and she just replied 'We will discuss it when you're in.'
I feel so stupid for doing what I did and so terrified I will be arrested for it. I have no previous convictions but theft is theft, right? I guess what my question is, is what do I do now? How do go about fixing this? I am extremely scared to go in to see her tomorrow. Even if its not about that I have this need to confess because I hate the guilt and I hate what I have done. Can someone please help me? What is my best course of action to deal with what I have done?

Replace the money. If you're fired, then you'll be fired. I DOUBT they'll press criminal charges on you, but you never know. If they do, don't say anything to the cops OR them.

If they are going to arrest you do not confess, you have a better plead agreement status if they will have to prove you did it.

If you are going to be fired, pay them back the money and use it as a lesson learned.
