I have been w/my boyfriend for almost 7 months now and I have fallen hard for him! One night, I almost told him that I love him, but I couldn't. I'm afraid of rejection I think. But he looked at me and told me that he knew what I was wanting to say. He told me to wait until February. I don't know if it has to do w/Valentine's Day or my birthday. But if he doesn't say it soon, I feel like I'm going to pop! Should I wait for him to say it first? ;)

Hello christy9800,
I don't know what to think to this. I don't know if you have had a happy 7 months, or whether there has been ups and downs or what. But I think you should perhaps question him as to what he meant by saying wait until February. Ok I understand that everyone's first Valentine's day is special and everything, but in my opinion I feel Valentine's Day is just commercial. It shouldn't be one day in the year that you tell your boyfriend you love him and splash out on him. Should it not be like that everyday? Bare in mind this is just my opinion, but I think you need to think. I wouldn't worry about it, as if he know's what you are going to say then he must feel the same. But you could always just ask him what he thinks you were going to say. Fair enough he might be waiting until Feb to tell you and therefore that will be a special day and hopefully bring you closer together. You don't want to spoil any surprises he may have lined up for you do you? But at the same time you can't sit there worrying. Jus follow your heart, perhaps wait until V'day and see what happens, if nothing does then I would step in there first. I always think its possibly better to get it in there first anyway, because if you say "I love you" and then he says "ye i love you" it's a bit like tic for tac isn't it? Hope this is help and I haven't confused you, mail me on here if you want any more advice/help etc! All the best

I assume he asked you to wait until February and you agreed. Unless you have experiences with him that says differently-- please trust him, stick to your promise and wait. I can imagine that waiting is hard but I promise you Christy, you won't really pop, its not that far away and he could have something really nice planned too. Indulge him in this one, okay? Otherwise you could make a big "thing" out it and a "thing" is not good. It would be like you stumble and then he stumbles, emotionally. Not good. If you have to, pound on your pillow a bit to let out some of those antsy waiting heebeegeebees! LOL

Yes you should. You don't want to push it. There might be something he's planning on doing. Just wait and see. The turn out might be better than doing it right now. Good luck gurlfriend.
He's waiting for a reason, probably a very good reason... The more patience you show, and the more you prove your love though not just your words but your actions, the easier and ultimately more wonderful this will be for the both of you.

I also think you should wait, because he probably DOES have something planned, and if valentines day comes and goes and nothing happens then I think you should tell him, yes there's a risk but if he's not ready to say it back then I'm sure he's just waiting for the perfect moment or until he's certain, but most likely he WILL say it back.
