My John Deere z245 will not start w/o a jump, and once I get it started it will be OK for the day. I just bought it this year! Today it won't start even with a jump, it will turn over but won't start, my safety switch under the seat looks bad but it still tries to start.

Sounds like it needs the valve clearance checked
Any idea how many hours on it.

No I do not know how many hours, I had for over 2 years I bought a regulator for it and it still won't start, what is a valve clearance check
