My teen daughter suffers from depression, lacks confidence and showers often 3 times daily to relieve anxiety. She is stressed about her blotchy red skin (adding to the depression) particularly before presentations at school. Could excessive exposure to fluoride be part of the problem? Also she uses marijuana frequently after school hours although we have tried to point out the dangers. Of course, another excuse to have her stop this practise would be useful as she feels her "attractiveness" is the only positive thing in her life.

The showers could very well be causing her skin to be blotchy, particularly if her skin is sensitive. Soap, hot water, can cause "blotchiness."

As far as her marijuana smoking - does she live in your house? How about saying no?
