When you add an acid to water, the pOH changes because of a net increase in the amount of H and thus OH- decrease?
I am having this doubt because in an acid/conjugate base system, if you multiply Ka and Kb you get Kw as well? So Kw in effect is caused because of the dissocation of the acids and the strength of the base or because water autodissociates?
