My 97 Ford f350 power stroke diesel quit on the way to work . The fuel filter was changed
Then on the way home it quit again. After sitting for a little bit it started again. It will run good for about 15 minutes then shuts off. What could be wrong with it?

1. Test all under-hood and under-dash fuses, using a test light or multimeter.
2. Check for codes, using a scan tool.

High pressure oil pump or injector oil pressure regulator.

Try cooling of the icp regulator to see if it starts faster after it initialy dies
Cold water from garden hose will work if it restarts change it the coils go week when hot

Sounds like the Injector Fuel Pressure Regulator in behide the turbo. Wot we have done is modify the filter on the FPR, fitted a steel fine screen mesh with copper machined sleeves similar to what is fitted. This works really well. Next time u have a similar problem the meah filter is changed and u have just saved yourself $275. Hope this helps.
