I'm currently looking for employment as a Nanny, but am have a current license for Licensed Vocational Nurse. Some of the clients are asking for employees to be bonded. Is that necessary since I'm already licensed? If so, how do I get bonded?

They are probably thinking in terms of a fidelity bond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fidelity_bond).

It's necessary if your employer requires it as a condition of employment.

A license doesn't necessarily protect your employers should they sustain damages as a result of your intentional or negigent acts, and desire to make a claim against the bond. You might inquire of an insurance broker about obtaining a bond.
