Hello again I just got some new numbers from my first question on stripping and waxing a apartment complex in College Park Md here is what I have this will be stripped and refinished, with bi weekly maintenance I don't know when the last time it was serviced and floors are in pretty good condition basic wear and tear of wheelchair marks, overall the building is nice and has been kept up.
hallways 56 sq ft x 6 there's 6 floors
community room 2530 sq ft
bathroom 56 sq ft
kitchen 56 sq ft
Entrance area 900 sq ft
boarder around entrance area 56 aq ft
sorry didn't get laundry room sq ft it has 10 washing machines and dryers on both sides?
What I'm asking is a estimate on how much to bid per sq feet?
and proper pay rate for employee hourly rate?
Somebody please help I need to have this submitted in the morning Nov 1, 2011

If the floor is VCT and there is not a lot (above 6 coats) of old wax then completely stripping and refinishing with about three coats of new wax I would charge between $0.25 and $0.27 per sq ft.

These are prices from my area (Chicago), pricing varies by area and local competitive situations and pricing is always your decision in the end.

If this is not a union project and the floor crew/s are experienced, good crews demand between $12.00 to $16.00 per hour. Again this is only an estimate from my experience over the last 19 years in the Chicago area.

Good luck, please let us know how you did.
