police lieutenants examining the scene of an accident involving two cars measure skid marks of one of the cars, which nearly came to a stop (vf=0) to be 80m long. The coefficient of friction is .8. estimat ethe initial velocity

You can use the energy equation here.

Initial kinetic energy - Work done against friction = 0

Can you do that?
