200 amp meter outside to a service panel inside how to bond?

I am not sure about the codes in Louisanna, but Washington state code requires two 8ft ground rods ten ft apart. With a #6 gauge copper ground wire. Check your local codes to verify.

Interesting reply, but curious since mathematically speaking any distance greater that 6' reduces the effectiveness of the two ground rods.

Bonding is accomplished in the same manner as any other amperage.

Don, do you have any statistics to support this? I have heard just the opposite, and code is 6' apart minimum.

Don, review this:

TK,

I've read through the article.

I'll dig through the texts I have to find the support. Hopefully, I have it I hard copy as opposed to a web article.

OK, note that the 6 foot is a minimum, as Stan noted, and this is for 8 foot rods.

If they are closer, the grounding effect can be diminshed.

There is no issue spacing 8 foot rods farther.
