I have just recently moved into a new house at the beginning of the month and I have noticed a traveling "ticking" across the walls... this is not the first time it has happened, or the first place. It never stays in one place but it is always in the walls of my bedroom, whatever house I live in. It can be a very rhythmic, steady tick or very sporadic, either in one exact spot or from different sources within my room, anywhere from soft to loud and startling. The strange thing is that I am beginning to notice a pattern with it, quite eery, I have just moved to Toronto from Victoria, because where nearly everything is different, yet the ticking is happening AGAIN. It is always when I lay down to go to sleep, seriously am I crazy? In a previous apartment in because, it never happened when other people were around, sometimes when my boyfriend (who also lived there) would lay in bed with me we would hear it in the walls, I can never pinpoint exactly where it is coming from either. In the same apartment in Victoria, one night I was laying in the dark as my boyfriend was asleep and I could hear something creeping around my room, right when I had got to the point of being really scared the end of my bed starting to rattle like someone was hitting it, I shook my boyfriend awake and as soon as he turned on the lights I had felt instantly lighter, like whatever the spirit was had left. Now, as I write to you, the traveling tick across my walls from high to low and everywhere in between has started again, and it seems to get worse (faster, louder, harder, more persistent, etc.) when I really notice it and sit up or open my eyes or whatever. What is this? I have been hardly sleeping at all since I have moved into this new place, which is strange for someone who sleeps a lot... now I am thinking that I stay up late because in the back of my mind I am creeped out by the vibe I get when I am in there. It is a basement suite in a house, but is it the place or is it me? I need to know what this is.

I would say we can rule out the problem being the PLACE. One might suggest having a hearing test done, however, with the other experiences you are having, such as the bed shaking an hearing something creep around the room, I believe this could very eaily be a spiritual situation. Now we don't always know why spirits manifest in the way that they do, at the very least it is probably to announc their presence. I believe the main reason they do ths is to instill a spirit of fear and confusion in us as well. If I was to say this is a demonic spirit, how would you respond?
