My dog ate a pork bone three days ago , I have been keeping an eye on him and he has been sleeping a lot . But mostly farting wow all the time is this normal?

Dogs are perfectly capable of digesting bones. They were built to do so. The only scary part about bones, mainly cooked bones, is they break off in sharp pieces. Feed lots of bread to help with the digestion process and pad intestinal walls... However, since its been three days, I'm pretty sure you are out of the woods. As long as stools are normal, no blood, water intake is normal and appetite is normal with no excessive drooling, you should be fine.

Pork absolutely does not agree with dogs. If mine gets her paws on one she will bring it up about four hours later, usually on my bed. I guess people in my house don't want to listen to this advice, but it happens about once a year.

No more pork bones or pork period ? Not even pork gravy.

Sleeping a lot has nothing to do with it, farting does. It will 'pass' (play on words)

Pigs have many bones, which one/type did you guy eat? Can't say I agree about pork being bad for dogs across the board. I am sure some dogs will not do well with pork fat but human grade, cooked, lean pork is as good as chicken or beef for dogs digestion.

I have had the borzio, scottish wolfhound, siberian husky, samoyed, schnauzer, walker hound, mixed breed hound dogs, not one of them could digest pork, lean grade good cuts is the only pork I eat, bellanger. So I come by my advice by experience, that is the only way I answer a question.

My dogs eat pork just fine. Meat with any type of seasoning can upset the GI system.

My dogs have iron-clad stomachs though. They can eat just about anything.

Plus, just because we don't like the outcome of what they eat, doesn't mean they can't handle it. Some foods make them gassy, some don't. Just like with people.

We see bones causing obstructions a LOT - usually when a dog swallows one that is a bit too big.
Generally with obstructions they don't defecate and can't eat a lot with out vomiting.
Keep monitoring your pup but it sounds OK for now.
