I just kind of giggled and decided to agree even though I do not believe it. Later I just haven't really talked to him. But I really like him and I don't know if he likes me? What should I do and how to find out if he likes me?

Don't keep calling him. When we women push too hard, guys think we are desperate and they get scared. Just play it cool for a few weeks and see what he does.

It seems to me that probably he doesn't like you that much. If not, he wouldn't avoid you.
Play it cool! If he really likes you, he'll take initiative! Give him the chance to be a man! ;)
