I have long hair. They are black and silky. I have never had a haircut, but now when I have joined college, I want newness. I have also noticed that the heroines in films look good just as they keep open hair. Does keeping hair open helps to look beauteous? Should I go for a trim, and if yes, what?

My age is around 21 and I have oval face. I usually keep hair braided. Other girls in my area also keep long hair. Any suggestions. Does face has any thing to do with hairstyle? What is the difference between haircut and hairstyle? Is it necessary to shave underarms, if one has short hair? If I do not make eyebrows, as I can't tolerate the pain of pulling of eyebrows, but cut my hair, will not I become a laughing stock? Please help me.
