I refinished a basement bathroom, the plumbing (drains) had already been roughed in by the home builder. I assumed that there was a p-trap already installed. Unfortunately I assumed wrong, they obviously decided to skip this step. There is a strong odor coming from the shower drain. The only way I can access the plumbing is by cutting out a piece of the wall on the other side of the shower. The problem is that the pvc pipe is in a very tight spot. Can anyone recommend a tool that could be used to cut the pvc pipe in this extremely tight spot? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE .

Hey Kevin,

If you can get a Saws-All in there to cur the pipe I would go for that first. If it's still too tight take a hacksaw blade , wrap a rag around it for a handle and saw the sucker out. Good luck, Tom

If you can get at it internally from the pan of the shower, then cut the pipe internally with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel.
