I'm an Australian living in the UK (holder of a Residence Card for the UK) who married a French citizen in the UK in 2009. He has recently been head hunted and with short notice we will be moving back to France. I am trying to understand the process. Do I need to process paperwork prior tp departing the UK? If so, what? And how long does it take as we have to move back on the 14th Nov 2011 (we are short on time). Can we just go back and make an appointment in France upon our arrival? Also, we weren't aware we had to obtain a 'Livret de Famille', how do I apply for one? It is so frustrating when there are so many conflicting information online and no one to talk to about it. Please advise... Thank you in advance.

Why don't you ask the French consulate in the UK? They should be able to help you
