I saw that this topic was discussed earlier, but my situation is slightly different. We have a 30- 50lb tank and I understand that my cut-in pressure should be 26-28lbs, and my cut-off should be at 50lbs. What's happening is for example, I'll flush the toilet and the pressure will slowly drop from the 50lb cut-off point, down to 36lbs and then cut-in and go up to 63lbs, cut-off and settle back and stay at 50lbs again. It does this at every flush, and around every 30 to 35 seconds while using the shower or running the faucet. Thanks

What's the setting on your bladder tank? It should read 28 PSI when the pump's shut down and a cold waster faucet opened to bleed off the pressure. Back to you, n Tom

It sounds like the bladder tank is water logged or you have a bad switch. On a switch that is 30/50 (cut-in/ (cut-out)the "pre-charge" pressure of the bladder tank should be 28psi when the bladder tank is COMPLETELY empty of water. The tank needs to be drained at the tank, so all the water is evacuated. If the bladder is bad there may be water above it causing a false psi reading. If anyone has "adjusted" the pressure settings on the switch this can throw things way off also. Iron/sediment can build up in the line to the switch and cause it to stay open longer then necessary which can create the problem described.
