I want to make sure a lien can not be put on this account. I will open account as a disability account.

You need to inform the bank where you open the account that you will be receiving your Disability check for this account only. If someone tries to garnish your disability check or your checking account they will give you notification of this and you can inform the bank at that time that your account would not be able to be garnished or monies taken out of your account. Be sure not to keep any other funds in this account other than what you receive from disability.

A great deal would depend of what the judgment was for. SSDI CAN be garnished for IRS debt, child support, alimony, and debt owed to federal agencies. There is nothing you can to to protect your bank account against these kind of judgments if they exist, even if all of the money is from SSDI.
