A furnace needs the control board to operate properly. Aside from normal operation there are safety features on furnaces to keep the homeowner and their children safe from harm. Remember that you are dealing with natural gas and could cause an explosion resulting in serious injury... possibly death. If you do not have the appropriate experience please contact a qualified technician to service your furnace. We will try and help as much as possible without jeopardizing the safety of you or your loved ones.
