Just installed a new delta r1000 faucet. All was working well until I tried to tun the cartridge around so the hot water side was on the left. Now no matter which way I install the cartridge the hot water will not stop running completely when the faucet is turned off. Washers lol good and seem to be seated correctly. Any ideas

Did you turn the cartridge 180 degrees or 360? The r1000 refers to the cartridge, there are several. http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?collection=DLT_all&q=r1000&num=20#axzz1au9qEOCt Which faucet did you buy

I think I may have turned it both. I have tried a number of times to stop the water from flowing that I tried just about everything I could think off with the cartridge. Irised placing it back inits original position but the water still flows when turned off.

Take a look at step #4, did you do this correctly? http://www.deltafaucet.com/media/Product_Tech_Docs/Maint_Installation/50001to80000/50353RevE_1611b.pdf

Yes I think so as I have been using the faucet with no leaks for about a week now. I originally had the hot water on the wrong side and was told that by moving the cartridge so that the hot water side was on the left, this would correct the problem. After reinstalling the cartridge this way, the faucet would not turn off when the tap was turned off. I tried going back to the original configuration but the problem still exsists.
