When is the best time to take a pg test? Conception may have occurred on the 31st of Jan, and my period is due around the 13th of Feb. Can I still take a test now?? I can hardly stand to wait.

The earliest hpt (early response pregnancy test)that you can take is 5 days before your expected period. However it is more accurate if you wait until the day that you miss your period, then take an hpt. You can take a blood test to determine pregnancy sooner then hpts, and they are more accurate ,and not much more expensive. However, it could still be too early for even a blood test to determine pregnancy if your levels aren't high enough. I would suggest waiting until you miss your period. If you miss, take a hpt. If it comes out negative, go get a blood test ( a quantitive test if you can, as they measure the exact amount of hcg in your system) you can also visit your doctor and get an exam, as they can look for other determining signs of pregnancy, such as enlarged uterus, and the blueish purple tint that accompanies pregnancy. Good luck and best wishes.

In the morning when you first eake up, that's when your urine is most concentrated and will be able to detect the hcg levels in your urine

Most tests can be taken on the day that your period is due. At the same time it would be best to wait a few days or even a week after your period is due to take the test. Yes, taking the test in the morning is better.

Best to wait until your period is due or it is a few days late. And yes, first thing in the morning.
