The only outlet in my garage suddenly lost power. I tested all the breakers since nothing is labeled and they are all good. I replaced the outlet and still nothing. I used both of my testers and the hot supply is dead. The outlet seems to be an end of a run or just by itself since there was only a line coming in. There are two light fixtures in the garage and they are working fine. I am out of ideas, please help

If the house is reasonably new (late 70's on) then it is most likely a tripped GFI somewhere.
Look for another receptacle somewhere with little "trip" and "reset" buttons. The "reset" will likely be popped out. Push it back in.

There are no gfcis in the house at all.

Is the wiring in the garage exposed or hidden behind drywall?

You say you are using a "tester", what exactly are you using?

How, exactly did you test the output of the breakers?

Also, you responded that your home has no GFCIs, how old is your home?

You can GFCI protect an entire circuit, by using a GFCI breaker. Do any of your breakers have a test or reset button on them? You can also protect an individual receptacle or multiple receptacles by using one GFCI receptacle.

The house was built in 1986. And no there is no gfci outlets or breakers. I used an electrical tester to test the hot wire for the outlet and the closest ones to it. I removed some drywall and tested the wire up as far as I could. The wire runs up into the ceiling and I have no way of tracing it any further. As for the breakers I turned them all off and then back on again. I am not sure which breaker is for that outlet since they are all on and the only thing dead is that outlet. The lights in the garage still work
