I'm a teenage girl and I've been very confused about my sexuality recently. I've always been attracted to and interested in guys, but sometimes, I find myself attracted to women and have masturbated to pictures of them. I've never really found lesbian porn appealing, just straight, but sometimes I just find myself getting these feelings for women too. I don't want to have sex with them, and I never think about having sex with one, or being in a relationship with one. In fact, the thought of it grosses me out, and afterwards whenever this happens, I always feel quite disgusted with myself and really confused. I just don't understand why this is happening. Could this just be a phase I'm going through or what?

There's nothing wrong with what you're feeling. It's natural, and nothing to be ashamed of. You're young, and you have plenty of time to find out what sexuality you are. I myself believe that we shouldn't class ourselves as gay, straight, bisexual etc, and that people should just allow themselves to fall in love. Don't worry too much about it all, just go with what feels right :)x

E Sarah,

Welcome to this beautiful site, first!

You seem to be bi-sexual, not straight. Your leaning towards same-sex is minimal, though. That is what I presume.

People who have a distinct but not exclusive preference for one sex over the other may also identify themselves as bisexual, and this phenomenon is a part of the heterosexual–homosexual continuum.

A 2002 survey in the United States by National Center for Health Statistics found that 2.8 percent of women ages 18–44 considered themselves bisexual. So, do not worry, you have a large company!
