I knew Bette's eyes were big (so are mine), but exactly how big were they? In measurement, how big were they? 1/2 of an inch? 3/4 of an inch?

I don't think they were ever measured. It was a figure of speech for her beautiful eyes. She was an amazing looking woman when she was young.

I have big eyes, don't care to have them measured, don't wear any kind of eye make up; they are also a violet/blue colour.
