A friend of mine just bought a new house in Charlotte, and he was looking to build a new mini L shaped bar in his basement. All the instructions on how to do this cost money, and I was just wondering if there was anybody that had instructions on how to do this for free!! It would be greatly appreciative. I'm looking for materials needed as well!

I am building a pretty good sized wet bar also. I did pay for a couple of the plans, which weren't too expensive considering how much materials will end up costing. Also, I wouldn't call them plans, they are more like guidelines that I used for reference.

I started by framing the bar using 2x3 studs. I covered the back (behind) of the bar with some better grade select pine boards. They seem to sand down nice, just have to be careful not to bump them as they are pretty soft. I added some shelves under the back and built a counter with plywood and formica laminate.

In the process of adding electrical for a light and outlet and plumbing for a sink. Will cover the front and side (opposite side against a wall) with oak plywood. The top will be a sheet of mdf under oak boards.
