My husband is on probation in Alabama. We were told that for the first year he could not leave the state and then after that if he was going to be gone for more than a day or two that he would need to call and let him know but if it was only going to be for a day or two not to even call them. He still lives in Alabama but I have moved out of state due to a job. My husband has came a few times to visit me overnight ONLY. The probation officer called here and was asking friends of mine about my husband. They told me about it at church Sunday and so today I called him and explained who I was. He told me that there was a warrant for his arrest but that it is NO big thing. He asked where my husband was and I told him he is in Alabama where he lives. He told me to call him and tell him to come turn himself in which is what my husband did. He was of course arrested and told his probation ends in three weeks and that he was going to go talk to the judge and would be out this afternoon or tomorrow. The probation officer has just recently changed last month but I feel that since the last probation officer told us that and we were never told he could not leave for ANY amount of time that my husband should not be in trouble and that the courts officers are nothing but LIARS now. What is the truth of what is going to happen to my husband and how can I help him. He has never even gotten a ticket before getting in trouble or since getting in trouble. He was honorably discharged from both the Marines and the National Guard and the charges were what the judge called unwillful child abuse because my niece fell and got hurt while at our house. What are they really going to do?
