I have a 2000 chevy silverado that someone has put a remote start on and it is causing my battery to go dead, but if we take the box out the truck won't run. What would be cuasing this?

Because the remote box is wired inline and simply unplugging it leaves that line open. You also have to restore the wiring to what it was before it was installed.
