MY life is becoming a mess. I'm still young, so I know I have a lot to look forward too. My family and I fight daily, my friends are all boring and immature, I'm in love with somebody I can't have, and I feel as if I'm a failure and hated by many. I don't know how I feel half the time people ask me "how are you?" and I never know what to say when somebody ask me about my life. I have so much to say, but no one to say it too. I have gone through so much, and I need to let my emotions out on somebody. Anybody. Please just help.

What's really going on that you think you're a failure? You posted this in Addictions. Is that a problem?

You sound like you are 'graduating' into a more intelligent group of people. Family members who simply fight all the time can be very taxing on your ability to move forward yourself. I think you were very smart to reach out - you very well might find some help here and/or elsewhere on the internet.

I've have thought long and hard @ these types of things and have seen a lot. Are you on Facebook? There is a group of about 1500 people who get together and discuss similar problems. But! Their methods for making things better are quite different than one might think. They've found that these types of mental confusion, anger, angst and hopelessness have their roots in diet (of all things). Check out the 'International Paleo Movement Group' - there are a lot of young people (and older too) helping each other out with similar situations.

Since you are already thinking more progressively than your family members - you might find that adopting some of the 'ways of life' of the members of the group might kick you into high gear. You can join the open group and see if what people are discussing might help you. Many, many people have overcome addiction, depression, brain fog, fatigue, etc. by adopting a Paleo lifestyle.

All my best to you. Congratulations - you have taken the time to reach out and you will be rewarded.

You sound like you might be battling a little bit of depression? It also sounds as if you may also be going through a rite of passage--perhaps going through a stage in your life of growth, questioning yourself, your future, hopes, dreams... a kind of major turning point. I might suggest getting involved in a new hobby of some sort--something creative that gives you a sense of accomplishment, whether it be writing, painting, sculpting or some other type of craft. I also think it might be a good idea to try and get out and travel in different circles--try a place you always wanted to see, but never been before. Go find a quiet place in nature or somewhere peaceful and meditate--clear your mind, and ask yourself what makes YOU happy? Try thinking about the dreams you had when you were a child, anything that brought you hope, and joy.
