Google turns up many, many complaints about the Sleep Number pump and controller.
The lifetime warranty is limited years 3 on, and after two years of purchasing the bed, you will be liable for something like 20% of the cost of replacement items plus approx. 4% for each year you have owned the bed.
If your bed is within the two year limit, then immediately call them to replace. Ask for the newest, wireless unit. Their customer service number is 1-888-484-9263.
Sleep Number instructs you to email or call them to replace the defective unit (http://www.sleepnumber.com/eng/customerService/replacement_parts.cfm#missingsegments) while "under warranty", unfortunately, now you know what to expect to pay if you are out of the two year "FULL" warranty period.

If it's out of warranty you may be able to fix it. It has a circuit board that has a fuse which it sounds like blew in your unit, otherwise you may need to buy a replacement. I hate to buy something I can fix, however. DrTom4444
