My question is got a double kitchen sink and a garbage disposal is one side. The water goes down but aall kitchen water drains in to this basement tub ?

Are you saying your kitchen sink drains fine but backs up in the basement? But the disposal has to be running before it does this? How does the kitchen sink drain without the disposal running. And is it a laundry tray in the basement that backs up? Back to you, %Tom
