I just have some questions concerning my possibilities of being pregnant. The first day of my last period (when I began spotting/bleeding) was back on Sept. 20 (I am on birth control, Nortrel). I have never had sexual intercourse, though a few months back my boyfriend and I tried. I experienced a little bit of bleeding, but he never got all the way in as it was too painful for me.
Anyway, about 5 days into my period (I normally bleed for about 5 or 7, up to when I start my next set of pills), my boyfriend and I were cuddling and such, and he often pre-cums as I've heard it referred to. This got on my lower abdomen a bit. This situation also occurred again about 5 days after starting my next birth control pack, except it ended up more on one of my legs.
I have about a week until I'm due to go off my pill again, but I'm worried that I may possibly have gotten pregnant (freaking out really). I've been having odd abdominal pains/cramping along with a lot of gas and unusual weight gain over the past week at least. I also have been getting mild-ish nausea off and on throughout most days.
Any advise at all would be wonderful right now; either to point me in the right direction or calm my fears.

I'd recommend taking a home pregnancy test. That's going to give a better answer than anyone can guess. Apparently you are aware that that his dribbling does contain some sperm, and since birth control isn't 100% effective it is possible, just not highly likely. Synnen and J_9 both got pregnant while on the pill. Two names you will see frequently on this site.

That was my plan; I was going to wait until just before my next period about and take an at home pregnancy test. I doubt that all the worrying I'm doing is helping me any. I have been on the pill for nearly 2 years at this point. My boyfriend keeps insisting that it's safe cause I'm on the pill and I have to keep reminding him it's not 100% effective, I still need to be careful. But that you for your advice. Looks like I just need to wait and see at this point. I'm probably most worried about it hitting possible morning sickness before I find out anything.

You are right... he isn't. Just remember that. If it happens its going to be all on you, even if he does the responsible thing and sticks around.

And like I said... or more like didn't detail. Synnen and J_9 BOTH got pregnant while using three different forms of birth control correctly at the same time so it can happen. J_9 is a Nurse so you can guess she did it right, and Synnen had it happen fairly quickly not after years.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time panicking... if you are you have 9 months to deal with it, and if you aren't... then you aren't.

Word of advice, get all your prescriptions from the same Pharmacy, and ask for drug interactions as there are some other drugs and classes of antibiotics that will reduce the pills effectiveness or even render it ineffective while they are in your system.

I can't stress enough anytime you are prescribed another medicine to ask the Pharmacist so you can take other precautions.

Just to add to what Smoothy said, since you are on the pill, you should call your doctor and see what he/she recommends. Since birth control pills mimic pregnancy, the doctor may have you stop taking them until you know for certain.

Also if you aren't pregnant there could be something else causing the symptoms that you might need to have checked out.
