Ok, I need to know what's going on. I had sex while I was ovulating on September 23rd, and also the day before and the day after. I have been getting so many pregnancy symptoms, its crazy. The sick feeling, little belly cramps, a metal taste in my mouth, rapid weight gain, and feeling so hungry all day long.

My period is supposed to come tomorrow, but last night I had light bleeding, then normal. It's light red-brownish with a clear discharge. My period is like clockwork; I'm never early or late, and my period is heavy with way bad cramps. I had light cramps this time, way lighter then ever. I have noticed a few clots but nothing like when I have my period and only when I wiped. I still have pregnancy symptoms.

I took an hpt, and it came back negative. I read about implantation bleeding and thought, "Oh, maybe that's what this is." My period being like this is way weird. I need to know if this is my period or what. Could I be pregnant? Did I test too early? What should I do? Help!

You can do a pregnancy test on the first day of your missed period or 21 days after you last had unprotected intercourse. If you do the test too early or don't follow the instructions on the test correctly then you could get a false negative result.

Make sure you do the test using the first urine of the day which will be the most concentrated and the test will be more likely to detect the HCG hormone if it is present.

If you think you could still be pregnant, do another test 7 days later. If that's still negative and you feel you may be pregnant... see you doctor for further advice.
