My partner and I recently moved in to a house she has owned for a few years but has mostly rented out. She has never liked the house as she says she gets a bad vibe from it, and whenever she lives there things go wrong, she gets ill, relationships break down etc. An old friend of mine went in the attic a few weeks ago to do repairs and noticed a wooden crucifix with a silver jesus hanging in the corner attached to one of the joists. The previous tenant mentioned that she had found some wiccan writing on one of the walls somewhere but I have yet to find it, she said she did not place the cross up there though. My partner feelslike there is always somebody standing at the topthe stairs, which coincidently is where the hatch to the attic is. The house doesn't bother me at all, but as I have a much more positive demeanor about me, and have been told by every spiritual persin I've ever met that I have white light all around me, so maybe it just doesn't bother with me? Neither of us are spiritual but we are open minded, I just wonder if anyone knows anything about this kind of thing and if we may have anything to worry about?

Why would anyone hang a silver crucifix in an attic - is that your question?

Because that person believed in bad vibes or ghosts or hauntings and also believed that the crucifix would keep "bad spirits" away.

Since the house has been rented out and who knows how many people have been through it I wouldn't worry too much about a crucifix in the attic where "wican" writing was seen but is gone now.

Coupled with the fact nothing has happened but some uneasy feelings chances are nothing is going on.

There are a number of reasons for this. I do a lot of work at a Catholic University... there isn't a room on that campus that does not have a crucifix hanging in it somewhere. Some believe it is a sign of blessing a building. However, an attic is an odd place to display that and I most likely think somebody was trying to ward off something they believed to be haunting the place. This does not mean it is haunted... however, some of the things you mentioned sure give it a good environment to be "haunted".
