My daughter turns 18 in December. She living in the state of Connecticut with her mother. She will graduate from high school in May of 2012. I live in the State of Michigan where the support is through. Do I pay support until she is 18 or until she graduates from High school? No help by going to divorce papers, I just found them and never read them. It says in divorce that ex will not go through friend of court for child support! Guess I should have read them along time ago. Do we go by Michigan laws or Connecticut. Also what if she were to drop out of school, support continue?

There has to be a support order somewhere. If it wasn't a part of your support decree, the agency that issued it would be a good place to start. It should spell out when support ends. If there is still a question after that, you would need to go by the guidelines in the state set the support order.

You pay until she is emancipated by state law. Usually that is 18 and graduated High School.
Or ends at 19 either way.
The courts that issue the order have control over it.

Agree, does your court order address what happens if she goes to college ? But how long is controlled by the actual court order
